- I'm using a USR Sportster 28.800 with V.34 (33.600)
- on a PC with Windows 3.11. And I'm blind about modems..
-
- I'm experiencing the same trouble again and again.
- Could anyone help?
-
- It is as the following:
- 1. The modem sounding a faint beeeep as the backsound
- while dialing and handshaking.
-
- 2. There is a faint hiss (very faint) as the connections on.
-
- 3. I'm experiencing sudden disconnecting.
- Usually after 15-25 minutes.
-
- Could anyone tell me
- how to distinguish where the problems really accurs?
- Is it in my modem, or in my PC or in the phone line
- or maybe in the ISP?
-
- Thanks in advance...
